Reporting to the Director of BrainWorks, the incumbent supports neurophysiology research methods (MEG, EEG, non-invasive brain stimulation).
Major responsibilities include :
Perform quality-control checks to ensure accurate electrophysiological data collection.
Order equipment and report equipment faults; manage repairs with manufacturers and suppliers.
Ensure consumables in the labs are in good working order.
Train users in data collection and supervise their safe and effective use of the equipment.
Essential Duties
1. User Training : Provide technical training and guidance to users of the research Experiment Support : Contribute to experimental design, execution, data analysis, and troubleshooting for research projects using established protocols within the research Facility / Instrument Support : Support research core operations, including specialized equipment maintenance.
4. Technique Development : Optimize experimental protocols and Data Analysis / Interpretation : Analyze and interpret complex scientific Equipment Procurement : Assist in the installation and maintenance of specialized research core Professional Development : Stay updated with relevant scientific literature and advancements in the field.
Participate in professional development activities and scientific Scientific Participation : Collect and analyze scientific data for manuscript preparation and grant proposals9.
Vendor Relations : Maintains vendor relationships, evaluates products, and collaborates with purchasing for timely procurement of laboratory Education and Outreach : Participate in education and outreach activities within the core, including tours, events, etc.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and two years of related experience or an equivalent combination of skills, education, and experience
