We are hiring a Senior Human Resources Manager at our client in West Point, GA. As a Senior Human Resources Manager, you will be responsible for leading the Human Resources (HR) Department to include People Operations, Payroll, Benefits, HRIS, Learning and Organizational Development, and Strategic Planning.
This is a direct-hire opportunity.
The Senior Human Resources Manager will develop and implement HR practices and objectives to ensure a balanced program across all sub-divisions.
This role involves guiding and advising senior management on all HR-related matters. The Senior Human Resources Manager will maintain a comprehensive knowledge of key business and community issues affecting the organization and will plan for the optimum utilization of company human resources and administrative support to address these issues.
Essential Functions
Promote the company way within human resources including positive morale, harmony, teamwork, trust, and a can do mindset and passion to create value
Serve as Head of Department (HOD) for Human Resources, providing guidance and support on human resources issues
Maintain current knowledge of sensitive activities and issues within the company
Maintain knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation
Establish effective working relationships with individuals throughout the company and provide advice and counsel regarding personnel practices, policies, and employment laws
Lead and support initiatives to obtain and maintain ISO 9001 Certification
Coordinate and manage training programs and training program development for all levels within the company
Execute and implement departmental goals and objectives and ensure tam member compliance with company policies and procedures
Develop and oversee an effective recruitment program, including hiring salaried and hourly team members while maintaining the company’s hiring plan
Manage hiring of temporary team members for production as well as administrative needs
Develop and maintain affirmative action data and handle annual EEO-1 filings with the Department of Labor
Maintain relationship with outsourcing vendors who provide team member services, such as relocation programs, team member benefits, etc.
Coordinate benefit programs including medical, dental, pharmacy, vision, life, etc.
Recommend, evaluate, and participate in staff development programs such as Career Opportunity Program Systems for team members
Manage reviews of hourly wages and salaries to ensure the company has competitive compensation plans
Administer performance review program and salary administration to ensure effectiveness and equity
Manage the budget and Annual Business Plan of HR and provide directives for cost saving initiatives
Establish and maintain human resources planning, control, and reporting activities
Ensure human resources system (SAP) meets the needs of team members within the People and Culture Sub-Division including executive management information needs
Ensure Union Free strategies and programs are established and conducted for team members
Perform other tasks as required

Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or related field
10+ years of Human Resources experience in manufacturing, preferably within the automotive industry

Preferred Requirements
Experience with SAP system
