Reports To : Accounting Officer
Position Type : Full-time
Hours : 40 hours per week
Locations : Long Beach, CA
Pay rate : $22.00 to $23.00 hourly
Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Handle accounts payable, prepare checks.
- Perform the day-to-day processing of accounts payable transactions in an effective, up to date, and accurate manner.
- Review invoices and check requests.
- Sort and match invoices and check requests.
- Process necessary backup reports.
- Prepare analysis of account and reconciliation of payments.
- Manage multiple company payables
- Track vendor insurance and W-9 information
- Prepare and mail yearly 1099's to vendors
- Review resident refunds
- Post resident NSF
- Other duties as assigned.

- Qualifications & Experience :
- Experience with Yardi, MS Excel, and MS Word.
- 2 years’ experience in accounting or similar position; experience in Real Estate Management Sector required; Multifamily preferred
- Reliable, trustworthy, team-oriented & able to handle a heavy workload.
- Highly organized, accurate and effective
- Strong ability to multi-task and learn quickly
- Ability to present information clearly and accurately, both written and orally.
- Ability to interact with various levels of client and firm managemen t

The Accounts Payable Clerk will spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers, which can cause muscle strain.
The AP Clerk will also have to do some lifting of supplies and materials from time to time. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Environmental Conditions
The AP Clerk is located in a busy, open area office and may be faced with interruptions and must meet with others on a regular basis.
Sensory Demands
The AP Clerk must spend long hours in intense concentration. The incumbent must also spend long hours on the computer entering financial information which requires attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
Mental Demands
There are a number of deadlines associated with this position, which may cause stress. The AP Clerk must also deal with a wide variety of people on various issues.
