Whatyou will do :
- Overseestaff and departments at home health agencies or divisions ofhospitals or medical clinics serving patients at home.
- Hire and manage nurses and other health carestaff who provide services to patients in home or nonclinical careenvironments.
- Adhere to guidelines on qualityof care and in some cases will be asked to create the guidelinesbased on state and organizational standards.
- Budgeting resource planning logistics anddevelopment and implementation of care plans forpatients.
- Familiar with local state and federalregulations governing home health care provision.
- Working with diverse staff members andpatients makes strong people skills and customer service experiencea must aswell.
Qualifications :
- 3 years of experiencein direct home health / hospice operations / management / leadership isrequired.
- Significant management experience inhospice and home care operations with P&L responsibilitybusiness development and operational and clinicalcompliance.
- Clinician who is licensed inConnecticut
- A Masters degree in nursing withan active license to practice nursing in this state and at least(1) year of supervisory or administrative experience in a healthcare facility program OR a Masters degree in Business or publichealth or administration or a related field or comparableexperience with a concentration of study in health servicesadministration and at least 1 year of supervisory or administrativeexperience in a health care facility / program which included care ofthe sick; OR
- A bachelors degree in nursing withan active license to practice nursing in this state and at leasttwo (2) years supervisory or administrative experience in a healthcare facility / program with included care of the sick;
- OR Abachelors degree in administration with a concentration of study inhealth services administration and at least two (2) yearssupervisory or administrative experience in a health carefacility / program which included care of thesick;
- Working and current knowledge of variousState and Federal regulations including Medicare Conditions ofParticipation for hospice and home health agencies and statelicensing regulations for hospice.
- Must possessproven leadership skills strong interpersonal and verbal andwritten communication skills and a commitment to the principles andpractice of hospice and home healthservices.
- Able to apply a thorough knowledge ofhospice and home health care delivery models and relevant financialacumen.
- Travel is required
