Description :
Exalt Health, an acute rehabilitation hospital, provides an intensive rehabilitation program, and admitted patients must be able to tolerate three hours of intense rehabilitation services per day.
Focused on caring for patients with complex rehabilitative needs such as stroke, spinal cord injury, brain injury, head trauma, medically debilitation conditions, neurological disorders, cardio-pulmonary amputations, orthopedic injuries, and multiple major traumas.
Position Summary
As the Chief Therapy Officer, you will play a pivotal role in leading and overseeing our team of dedicated therapists. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the therapy department, promoting exceptional patient care, and fostering a positive and productive work environment for your team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership and supervision to therapy teams (PT, OT, SLP).
- Develop, implement, and monitor treatment plans to optimize patient outcomes.
- Ensure all therapy teams are adhering to department protocols, documentation standards, and professional ethics.
- Recruit, interview, and hire qualified therapists.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing professional development opportunities for staff.
- Manage departmental budget and resources effectively.
- Maintain open communication with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a collaborative approach to patient care.
- Analyze and track department performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in rehabilitation therapy.

Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
Licenses or Certifications
- Current, unencumbered license to practice professional Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy or Speech-Language Pathology in the state where currently practicing.
- Current BLS required via the American Heart Association or American Red Cross (required).
Education, Training, and Experience
- Master's degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech-Language Pathology (required).
- 2 years of Inpatient Rehabilitation experience (required).
- Previous supervisory experience within a Therapy Department (required).
- Proven track record of leading and improving clinical quality, patient outcomes, and operational efficiency.
- Strong understanding of current trends and best practices in rehabilitation medicine.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Passion for patient-centered care and a commitment to rehabilitation services.
