Reporting to the Vice President, Global Medical Products Marketing within Cardinal Health’s Medical Segment, the Director Portfolio Marketing Incontinence & Urology is responsible for the overall portfolio management including strategy, category product mix, product lifecycle management including new product development, value prop creation, branding and performance to financial targets including revenue, margin and SG&A.

The portfolio consists of Incontinence and Urology products.

The director will manage a team of 3 employees and will need to effectively engage with cross-functional partners in regional marketing, sourcing, finance, R&D, supply planning, and technical services, among others.

Responsibilities :

  • Provides leadership to managers and experienced professional staff and may also be required to manage front line supervisors.
  • Translates market and customer needs into clearly defined goals, objectives, strategies, and tactics to drive sales & profitability for the business.

Accountable for gaining and driving cross-functional support from all stakeholders.

  • Identifies and is well versed on market trends. Determines product / service lifecycle implications and makes recommendations to maintain market competitiveness and to achieve sustainable economic success.
  • Executes primary research (VOC) that are necessary to drive portfolio / product decisions. Identify market opportunities through VOC / secondary research and acts by implementing and managing solutions that meet market needs.
  • Identifies the appropriate channels to market by understanding market trends and competitive positioning.
  • Uses financial acumen and logical decision making in the general business environment. Demonstrates sound thought processes as it relates to pricing, forecasting and assessing financial implications.
  • Works effectively across cross-functional groups including but not limited to communications, operations, sales and IT.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s and advanced degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred.
  • Healthcare experience preferably in medical products and devices
  • Proven track record of managing and developing direct reports desired.
  • Strong ability to develop relationships internally and externally at all levels up to and including executives.
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, communication, negotiation and general business skills required.
  • Ability to initiate strategy discussions, executes projects and manages various marketing activities.
  • High enthusiasm, creativity and desire to work on an innovative team.
  • Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner and has a track record of making both monetary and strategic decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Ability to communicate with all functions and levels within the company, as well as customers, suppliers, and the community.
  • Ability to travel up to 15%.

Anticipated salary range : $132,700 - $204,000
