Scope of Position
As a Sales Development Representative (SDR), you will be responsible for connecting with prospective customers using all available communication channels including phone , email, Seismic, Sales Navigator, and more.
You will be tasked with qualifying leads, and engaging with prospects to introduce our products and services, while professionally representing the Expeditors brand.
You will develop and execute sales strategies in order to deliver joint value propositions across the sales team, coordinate and lead joint sales activity between operations and sales representatives, while ensuring that all customer activity is accurately recorded in CRM.
This role is a great step into our sales program and has the opportunity to grow into a District Sales Executive.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Cold Calling and identifying Prospects
- Connecting Prospects with DSE's (District Sales Executives)
- Managing leads through the sales pipeline by setting appointments, following up on leads and tracking progress towards meeting goals
- Support Sales team to meet / exceed New Logo, New Revenue and Topline targets
- Implement a strategy to increase Prospect to Target progress
- Set 13 calls per week per JR DSE and 8 calls per week per SR DSE & GSE
- Use Datamyne, Zoominfo, Sourcing Profiles, LinkedIn Navigtor, Bond Data and transportation reports, to pre-qualify prospective customers
- Meet weekly call quota and achieve weekly metrics for secured appointments, outbound calls and emails to prospects

Qualifications
- High energy self-driven individual
- Ability to influence others to action
- Oral and written proficiency in English
- Highly proficient in Powerpoint, Word, Excel and Microsoft Dynamics
- Passion to drive and support a team toward winning results
- Enjoy connecting with people, in person and via web / phone calls
- Must be a mid to high fit for sales
- Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results
- Strong geographical knowledge
