YOUR ROLE WITH THE COMPANY :

The Chef de Cuisine is responsible for managing all culinary operations of the restaurant. Primary duties and responsibilities include :

  • Oversees the kitchen's creative and operational aspects, ensuring seamless function
  • Ensures strict compliance with health and safety regulations to maintain a clean and safe kitchen
  • Maintains exceptionally high standards of food quality and presentation, ensuring every dish meets the restaurant s prestigious reputation
  • Continuously innovates and inspires the culinary team, encouraging creativity and excellence
  • Develops innovative menus that highlight seasonal and premium ingredients
  • Manages kitchen staff, including hiring, training, and overseeing daily operations, while fostering a collaborative and motivating work environment
  • Role requires extensive long-term training before opening, potentially out of state / area

BACKGROUND PROFILE :

  • 5+ years of experience as a Chef de Cuisine with a high volume ($10M+) fine dining restaurant
  • Michelin experience strongly preferred
  • Classically trained culinary skills preferred
  • Must be an independent worker and possess proven management skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience being accountable for a restaurant P&L
  • Have strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Passionate, energetic, detail oriented, and a passion for hospitality
