South Metro Animal Emergency Care is seeking an experienced veterinary assistant to join our highly skilled group of professionals for day shifts full-time and night shifts part-time and full-time.
Some holiday and weekend hours will be required.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Deliver exceptional, compassionate nursing care to patients utilizing all your technical skills such as :
- Triage emergency cases as they arrive.
- In-patient care for critical patients, including exemplary comfort care.
- Perform digital radiography utilizing proper techniques for positioning of patients and safety equipment.
- Obtain health history from clients and ensure documentation is accurate and complete within Cornerstone and SmartFlow.
- Ability to restrain safely and effectively.
- Advocate for patientsand clients by answering client's questions and addressing their concerns.
- Help maintain facility cleanliness.
- Readily demonstrate empathy for clients in stressful and emotionally driven moments such as end of life.
- Willingness to guide, mentor, and support fellow team members is a must.
- Constantly advance your knowledgebase and skill set.
