RESPONSIBILITIES :
This position enables the sales process by providing exceptional food experiences to drive confidence in Hormel quality, capabilities, and product portfolio.
- Participates as a member of the Hormel Culinary Collective and is involved in all Collective activities.
- Develops and delivers culinary presentations with sales team for assigned areas of responsibility.
- Lead / opportunity generation through chef-to-chef connections with key accounts.
- Menu / recipe concept ideation.
- Represents Hormel culinary at industry events and trade shows.
- Key participant in all sales development training seminars hosted at the corporate office.
QUALIFICATIONS : Required
Required
- 3+ years of professional culinary experience
- Experience working in either a corporate culinary, institutional culinary, or medium to large restaurant chain culinary role with responsibility over menu development and profitability.
- A pattern of initiative.
- A pattern of strong goal setting and results accountability.
- Self-starter who possesses the ability to work independently.
- Proven problem solving and decision-making skills.
- The ability to work effectively in a team environment on a variety of complex projects.
- Ability to foster relationships with fellow culinarians at a regional or national level.
- Ability to present effectively to groups.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Highly developed interpersonal and persuasive skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred
Formal culinary degree from a reputable culinary institute.
LOCATION :
Midwest location within proximity to a major airport
TRAVEL :
This position may travel up to 50% of the time.
