POSITION SUMMARY :
The Volunteer Support Specialist is responsible for duties relating to the development and retention of volunteers and girl members.
She / he provides leadership and support to train and recognize volunteers and girl members. She / he helps guide the direction of service units, and other volunteer committees.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide council-wide support for programs.
- Develop, cultivate, and support relationships with community program partners that expands Girl Scout programming.
- Keep current on organizational knowledge and best practices by participating in GSUSA webinars, participating in Chatter groups, and utilizing gsConnect.
- Serve as a resource for current volunteers regarding council and GSUSA policies, procedures, safety, and paperwork questions.
- Active participation in the development of environments that foster diversity, equity, inclusion, and access through words, actions, and attitude.
- Performs other duties as necessary or assigned.
Education and Experience :
- Associates or higher, or 2 years of related experience
- Experience using customer management systems, Salesforce experience desired.
