COMMUNITY SUPPORT SERVICES For the DEAF, Inc.
POSITION :
Direct Support Professional.
STATUS :
- Part-Time Regular.
- 1 : 1 Support 30 hours / week. (includes Benefits).
WHO IS A DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL
A supportive, hands-on person who assists Deaf Adults with Intellectual / Developmental Disabilities. Includes providing 1 : 1 support most of the time, but can be up to 1 : 4.
Responsibilities for assisting in the evening routine including personal care, preparing meals, administering medication, and transporting to medical appointments / activities, and job sites.
Other responsibilities as identified in the annual Person-Centered Plan (PCP) meeting.
EXPECTATIONS :
- Must be a team player that has a positive attitude and shows respect at all times.
- Patience is required.
- Annual Physical and Flu vaccine required.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- High School Diploma.
- Relevant experience is a plus.
- Valid MD Driver’s License with 2 points or less.
- Fluent in American Sign Language (ASL).

WORK HOURS : Monday thru Friday 5p-11p, in the Baltimore area.
