Outpatient lab with two locations seeing an average of 130-140 patients per day between the two, as well as phlebotomists at three office locationsHighly reliant on team aspect as all personnel are here to provide quality care to all patients.
Responsibilities include patient registration, ordering laboratory tests (outpatient and client), answering the phones using a multi-line computerized system, directing phone calls to the appropriate department and / or person and performing a variety of miscellaneous clerical duties.
This staff is also responsible for the collection of all types of clinical laboratory specimens by performing routine and special phlebotomy procedures.
Our Lab Outpatient Specialist positions have a base hourly rate of $16.40. Individual compensation is determined for this position through years of directly relevant experience and does include shift differentials and premium pay as applicable.
The hourly compensation is only a portion of the total rewards package and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
The full-time, 40 hours a week position will have various 8-hour shifts, with a weekend and holiday rotation.What is required for this position : Education and / or Experience : High school education or General Education Degree (GED) required.
One year certificate from a college or technical school or one to three months related experience and / or training preferred.
CRH does offer on the job training.Medical terminology course; computer based knowledge, PC and keyboarding skills preferred.
Phlebotomy orientation required within 6 months of hire.Certifications, Licenses, Registrations : Valid Indiana driver’s license required and must meet the hospital's liability insurance carrier requirements.
Phlebotomy certification through the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or equivalent certificate and / or registration preferred.
