Adelphi is seeking a Medical Director to provide overall coordination of all medical care at a long-term care facility in Harrison County, Mississippi (MS).
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role in a long-term care facility, a valid MS license and be board certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.

Requirements :
- Active and unrestricted MS License
- Board Certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
- Valid DEA license
- Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role in a long-term care facility.
Responsibilities :
- Oversee medical care to ensure high-quality resident care.
- Coordinate all medical care at the facility, ensuring seamless collaboration between attending physicians, therapists, and podiatrists.
- Review and oversee the credentialing and privileging process for medical staff.
- Serve as the primary advisor in patient care emergencies when the attending physician is unavailable.
- Participate in patient care consultations and serve on key committees.
- Assist the administrator in implementing recommendations from committee meetings.
- Provide clinical leadership and guidance to medical and nursing staff.
- Review performance of healthcare providers in the facility to ensure adherence to protocols.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Other duties as assigned by the facility's administration.
