JOB TITLE : Sr Manager, Global Product Marketing-Gene and Cell Therapy
JOB SUMMARY
Provides strategic leadership for worldwide product management including developing product strategy that drives growth in multiple markets (both apheresis and cell therapy).
Provide cradle to grave product and pricing leadership and supports continuous product improvement. They will gain success achieving their objectives through cross-functional leadership.
Leads storytelling for the Global Therapy Innovations division that reflects Terumo BCT global branding, customer feedback and business area focus.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Develops a strategic plan and roadmap to direct the development and execution of strategy via market assessments and research, development and delivery of effective product mix, sales tools, value analysis, pricing, and problem resolution.
- Collaborates with R&D and external parties on product development to ensure aligned direction on product design and functionality, as well as collaboration on geographic marketing toward the successful commercialization of the business area product portfolio.
- Leads the development of Global Therapy Innovations portfolio messaging and integration into key assets.
- Develops strategy through customer interactions and market research for products that drives growth, effective pricing strategies, and brand recognition.
- Ongoing leadership and influence of individuals and teams to support development and commercialization requirements around the globe via direct, generalist, and distributor selling efforts including project management, platform and protocol performance monitoring, market knowledge / training, & ethical promotion per guidelines.
- Have ongoing and significant contact responsibility with customers in the field, representatives of professional organizations with whom the business is affiliated, and professional / management levels within the business.
- Participates / leads strategy in market development activities for the platform, including increased adoption & expansion to adjacent markets.
- Works with regional marketing to gather requirements and coordinate execution of promotional materials, sales force collateral, and customer communication material to ensure consistency with customer needs.
- Continuous evaluation of portfolio and product related communication, documentation programs, and support tools for effectiveness through objective market research, customer, and sales force feedback.
- Leads activities to acquire, evaluate, store, and disseminate information on competitive products and competitive information.
- As applicable, manages product sunset process with supply chain and regional marketing including overall strategy, communications, and forecasts to minimize customer disruption and maintain brand loyalty.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education
Bachelor's degree in marketing (preferred, but others may be considered), or equivalent of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job may be considered.
Experience
Minimum 10 years' experience, preferably in sales and / or marketing, can be accommodated with related advanced degrees. Minimum 3 years cell therapy & / or clinical market expertise.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of cell and gene & / or clinical therapy product applications, therapies, and the markets in which they are used.
- Advanced sales and marketing techniques and a strong working knowledge of market execution.
- Demonstrated working knowledge with a phase-gate product development process.
- Demonstrated ability to support sales goals and profitability on a consistent basis.
- Extensive knowledge of product positioning and competitive knowledge of markets worldwide.
- Extensive knowledge of sales and marketing strategic planning thru program delivery.
- Intimate knowledge of global marketing strategies and market requirements and a working knowledge of global sales strategies.
- Ability to assess and integrate customer needs and market trends within the context of product systems and business capabilities.
Ability to translate this assessment into effective marketing strategies.
- Ability to work effectively and comfortably with multiple levels and stakeholders within a customer organization as well as all functions and levels within the business organization.
- Requires a thorough understanding of marketplace dynamics as they relate to product, price, and promotion.
- Knowledge and use of relevant PC software applications and skills to use them effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
An equivalent competency level acquired through a variation of these qualifications may be considered.

Approximately 25% travel required.
Target Pay Range : $160,700.00 to $200,900.00 - Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
Target Bonus on Base : 20.0%
