Job Summary : Cole Engineering Services is seeking highly motivated candidates to lead the testing effort on new software and hardware baselines for a next-generation simulation and training capability for the US Army.
Essential Job Functions : Candidates will be responsible for leading a team on the design, creation and execution of hardware / software test cases, tactical test scenarios, and additional procedures that incorporates the use of a variety of software applications / tools.
The Test Lead is responsible for defining integration / testing processes, overseeing unit testing, configuration item / system level testing, and lead verification and validation test event as required.
Additionally, the Test Lead will work directly with the RVCT Production Test team to ensure accuracy of testing and reporting to the customer.
The Test Lead will develop a test plan and test result reporting strategy for all levels of testing performed in support of day-to-day operations and deliveries to the customer.
The Test Lead will work closely with configuration management in support of formal and information documentation submissions to the customer.
The Test Lead will coordinate with the Product Support team on the creation of training materials and ensure its accuracy through testing.
The Test Lead will work closely with the customer, development staff, and systems engineers to thoroughly understand the system requirements to ensure the software implementation process is thoroughly tested.
The Test Lead will analyze test results, metrics, and trends to provide feedback to development and systems engineering.
The Test Lead will support off-site test events and coordinate efforts with multiple team leads and cross program functions as required.
In addition, the Test Lead will work closely with leadership to identify and define testing strategies and plan resources to ensure adequate assets are in place for all testing activities.
Required Skills :
- 8-10 years or greater Industry relevant experience.
- Must be able to lead initiatives, task team members, and identify and resolve potential issues
- The ability to coordinate between multiple internal and external teams to complete demonstrations, integrated test events, and soldier touch points.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written are required.
- A self-motivated drive for learning new technologies.
- Experience with supporting installation of software and hardware at remote sites.
- Up to 20% Off-site Travel may be required.
- Local Travel to Orlando is expected approximately 30%.
Knowledge in any of the following areas would be considered a plus :
- Experience with virtual / collective simulation systems such as Aviation Combined Arms Tactical Trainer (AVCATT) or Close Combat Tactical Trainer (CCTT).
- Test experience in a manufacturing environment.
- DevOps experience.
- Knowledge of Production Testing process, workflows, and issue resolution
- Experience with Innoslate, DOORS, or similar requirements tracking tool.
- Experience with Industry best-practice collaboration tools, such as JIRA and Confluence.
- Knowledge and experience of testing methodologies and analyzing results from small-scale unit testing to large-scale system testing.
- Operate collaboratively in a development team environment.
Required Education / Experience :
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as electrical engineering, computer science, information technology, systems or software engineering from an accredited college or university.
May substitute relevant military or work experience in lieu of degree.
Eight (8) to Ten (10) years’ experience in a Test Engineer or relevant position working with new software baselines, as well as supporting installation of software and hardware at remote sites.
Other Requirements : Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires U. S. Citizenship status with ability to obtain a SECRET to TOP SECRET security clearance.
Security Clearance requirements will be specified in the Government's Task Order.
