S. export laws and regulations. You will develop and implement procedures for product and technology classifications, licensing, and CCATS applications.
Monitoring changes to export laws and regulations, training internal staff, and creating reports and presentations are key aspects of this role.
Building and maintaining relationships with U.S. government officials is crucial to ensure all export activities are compliant with applicable laws and regulations.
THE PERSON : The successful candidate will be a leader in export classification and licensing, ensuring compliance with U.
S. export laws and regulations. You will have extensive knowledge and technical expertise in semiconductors or electronics and be able to work with internal and external stakeholders on product classification and licensing requirements.
While ECCN classification knowledge in the U.S. is essential, candidates with expertise in the classification standards of the EU, Singapore, China, India, Malaysia, or Taiwan are preferred.
Proficiency in managing screening solutions, trade compliance tools (GTS), and ERP (SAP) systems is necessary. You should possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication and organizational abilities, and a thorough knowledge of export regulations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES : Establish and execute protocols and guidelines for export classification and licensing, ensuring conformity with U.
S. export laws and regulations. Ensure complete compliance with pertinent laws and regulations for all export activities.
Investigate and analyze data related to product categories 3, 4, and 5 parts I & II to determine necessary ECCN classification and licensing requirements.
Draft and submit export license and CCATS applications. Monitor and track changes to U.S. export laws and regulations, staying updated on new laws or regulations.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with export regulations. Provide coaching and training to internal staff on export regulations and procedures.
Become the subject matter expert for SAP and GTS systems. Review and authorize export agreements and other relevant documents.
Foster relationships with U.S. government officials and relevant organizations. Create documents and presentations as required.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE : Experience with ECCN classifications and CCATS / license submissions, preferably within the semiconductor and electronics industries.
Exceptional analytical skills, comprehensive understanding of export regulations, and outstanding organizational and communication abilities.
5+ years of experience with SAP GTS legal control, classification, master data, and reporting. Knowledge of Harmonized Tariff Code.
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong commitment to customer service and proven track record in a team-based setting.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS : Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience preferred. Preferred additional certifications in trade compliance or international trade.
