CAD Drafter

Immediate need for a talented CAD Drafter . This is a 03+ months contract potential to Extension opportunity with long-term potential and is located in PLYMOUTH MEETING, PA (Onsite).

Pay Range : $36.80 / hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities :

• Creating detailed drawings, plans, and layouts based on specifications provided by engineers, architects, or designers.
• Collaborating with engineers, architects, and other professionals to understand project requirements and specifications.
• Incorporating design changes and modifications into existing drawings.
• Ensuring that drawings comply with industry standards and regulations.
• Reviewing and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and sketches.
• Creating 2D and 3D models of structures, components, and systems.
• Performing calculations and measurements to ensure accuracy of drawings.
• Organizing and maintaining drawing files and documentation.
• Communicating and coordinating with project team members to ensure timely completion of drawings.
• Providing support during the construction or manufacturing process by clarifying drawings and providing additional information as needed.
• CAD Drafters should have a strong understanding of drafting principles and practices, as well as proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
• They should have excellent attention to detail and be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience :

• Key Skills : CAD / GIS Experience MicroStation experience is a MUST 4-5 yrs+, Utility, gas / distribution exp A MUST
• CAD / GIS Experience
• Electric distribution background a plus
• Must have reliable transportation and phone
• MicroStation experience is a MUST
• 4-5 yrs+, Utility, gas / distribution exp A MUST,
• CAD exp 4-5 yrs+
• 2 year technical degree or equivalent certification (minimum).
