In Systems Integration and Test (SI&T) we integrate, verify, and validate our products. We put our systems together, exercise them in the lab or in the field, measure and analyze performance, and make sure our products work the first time and every time.
To accomplish this we develop plans and procedures, debug and evaluate system functions and interfaces, develop test environments, and work hand-in-hand with our customers.
The Test Equipment and Environments Center (TE&EC) is within the Test Equipment Engineering Directorate at Raytheon. The Test Equipment and Environments Center (TE&EC) includes all the engineering disciplines responsible for systems design & test on all Raytheon products.
Our engineers are responsible for all elements of the development lifecycle for test including test requirements, test system design, flight simulations, hardware-in-the-loop, computer-in-the-loop, advanced engineering prototyping technology, flight operations for manned and unmanned vehicles, environmental testing, environmental characterization, and engineering laboratory management.
We are hands-on, designing with the latest technology and tools, and integrate state of the art test solutions with the most advanced engineering systems in the world.
The Engineering Prototyping & Fabrication department is seeking Electrical Prototyping Inspection Technicians to work in an engineering environment to co-develop engineering hardware in accordance with customer and internal requirements, as well as industry standards.
Candidates will collaborate with multi-disciplined design teams across multiple projects to bring design concepts to fruition, providing rapid engineering, fabrication, and prototyping solutions throughout the entire product lifecycle.
What You Will Do :
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Fabricating electrical hardware from drawings, schematics, 3D models, written notes and verbal instruction
- Co-developing electronic, electro-optical, electro-mechanical and mechanical assemblies.
- Performing electrical layout, construction, modification, testing, adjustment, verification and prove-in of prototype electronic equipment.
- Assessing designs, ensuring producibility, maintainability, safety and reliability
Qualifications You Must Have :
- Typically requires HS Diploma or AS / AA degree (or other two year post high school training), with a minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience
- Experience reading and / or interpreting electrical and mechanical drawings and schematics.
- Four (4) or more years of experience testing electrical assemblies cables, wire harnesses, breakout boxes and / or chassis.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.
S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer :
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of engineering principals and design techniques.
- Experience analyzing and interpreting schematics and drawings to identify producibility issues.
- Motivated self-starter with the ability to use good judgement and to work independently or collaboratively in an engineering environment.
- J-STD-001 Solder certification
- IPC 610 & 620 Acceptability certifications and inspection experience.

The salary range for this role is 44,000 USD - 102,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
