Summary : An aviation MRO company in Opa Locka is seeking a Manual Machinist to join their team. This position is responsible for setting up, adjusting, and operating Milling Machines, Engine Lathes, Tool-Post Grinder, and Surface Grinder.
This role is also responsible for using various tools and measuring instruments required to perform precision Machining / Grinding operations.
Responsibilities : * Set up and operate various Machining & Grinding equipment.* Read and interpret blueprints and Manuals.
Demonstrate proper use and knowledge of tools and measuring equipment.* Ensure all work is performed IAW posted work scopes and safety implementations.
Requirements : * Minimum of 3 years working as a Manual Machinist* Aviation / Aerospace industry experience (part 145 repair station experience preferred)* Proper use and knowledge of Machine Shop tools and measuring equipment* Must be able to read, write and communicate in English, have basic computer skills* Available to work daily overtime and Saturdays as needed
