Remote Aruba ClearPass Engineer

TCI has an immediate need for a Remote Aruba ClearPass Engineer . This is not a C2C opportunity. This is a long-term contract opportunity with the possibility of extensions.

SUMMARY

The Aruba ClearPass Engineer will lead the design and implementation of scalable and secure network access control solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the design and architecture of Aruba ClearPass solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and security requirements.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to teams involved in the implementation and integration of ClearPass infrastructure.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze network access control requirements, translating them into ClearPass design specifications.
• Integration Planning : Develop integration plans for ClearPass with existing network infrastructure, identity management systems, and security technologies.
• Define and promote best practices for ClearPass deployment, configuration, and optimization, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
• Liaise with Aruba Networks and other vendors to stay updated on ClearPass capabilities, roadmaps, and integration possibilities.
• Create comprehensive architectural documentation, including design diagrams, configuration guides, and implementation plans.
• Conduct risk assessments and mitigation strategies related to ClearPass architecture, addressing potential vulnerabilities and compliance issues.
• Continuously monitor and optimize ClearPass performance, capacity, and scalability to meet evolving business needs.
• Provide training and knowledge transfer to technical teams and end-users on ClearPass architecture, features, and best practices.
• Design and implement network segmentation / micro segmentation strategies using ClearPass to enforce access control policies based on user roles, device types, or location, enhancing security posture.
• Configure and manage endpoint compliance checks within ClearPass to ensure connected devices meet security and configuration requirements before granting network access, mitigating security risks.
• Ensure ClearPass solutions align with relevant security compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, CIS), implementing controls and measures to meet regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Implement threat detection and prevention mechanisms within ClearPass infrastructure, leveraging features such as role-based access control (RBAC) and dynamic segmentation to mitigate potential security threats.
• Develop incident response procedures and protocols for ClearPass infrastructure, including threat detection, analysis, and remediation, ensuring rapid response to security incidents and minimizing impact.

REQUIREMENTS

• 5+ years of experience in network architecture, design, and implementation, with a focus on Aruba ClearPass solutions.
• Extensive experience designing and architecting Aruba ClearPass solutions in complex enterprise environments.
• Deep understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies, including TCP / IP, VLANs, WLANs, and routing / switching.
• Strong background in network security principles, authentication methods, encryption technologies, and security compliance frameworks.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and drive consensus on architectural decisions.
• Aruba Certified ClearPass Associate (ACCA) or Professional (ACCP) is highly preferred.
• Experience with HP NetEdit is a plus.
• Experience with Aruba AirWave a plus.
• Remote candidates in Eastern Time Zone (only) will be considered.
