The Summit is looking for an experienced Senior Maintenance Technician to join our team. The Senior Maintenance Technician will report to the Supervisor of Building Operations.
In this role, you will be primarily responsible for maintaining and repairing the HVAC systems and kitchen equipment to ensure efficient and safe operations.
The role may also require you to help maintain and repair the facility’s structure, machinery, grounds, plumbing, and electrical systems.
The Senior Maintenance Technician makes periodic or special inspections on the premise to determine necessary repair work and may work from blueprints, drawings, or rough sketches.
Responsibilities
- Maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs equipment and facilities. Adds and replaces electrical, mechanical, and other equipment.
- Ensures that the appropriate permits, regulations, licenses, and certifications are maintained.
- May provide guidance and training to staff, contractors, and seasonal staff.
- Provides office moves, space reconfigurations, and construction.
- Other job-related duties as assigned.
Job Competencies :
Knowledge of : Installation, maintenance and repair methods relating to commercial building support systems; electrical codes applicable to the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical circuits and wiring systems;
advanced commercial HVAC systems; software and hardware applications of PC-based energy management systems, intrusion alarm systems, fire alarm systems, and lighting systems; OSHA regulations.
Skill in : Conducting simple mathematical calculations; communicating effectively both verbally and in writing; driving a light truck;
reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings; following safety procedures and practices; troubleshooting and repairing equipment issues.
Ability to : Lead teams, make operational decisions, and maintain safety awareness.
Education
High School Diploma or GED equivalency.
Qualifications
4 years of experience in commercial electrical, plumbing, or HVAC, including four years of experience in commercial building maintenance.
Additional certifications may be required in specialized skills or trades.
Must pass a criminal history background check.
Licenses
- Valid state driver’s license required.
- HVAC or licensed electrician and / or BOMA certification.
- Any work-related experience resulting in acceptable proficiency levels in the above Minimum Qualifications is an acceptable substitute for the above-specified education and experience requirements.
