Job Overview :
The Security Architecture Engineer Americas is a critical role within the Americas Cybersecurity team. This position is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing security architectures across the Americas region.
The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in security architecture principles, cloud security, and the ability to lead a team of architects in ensuring the secure design and implementation of IT systems and applications.
This role requires close collaboration with engineering, product, and operations teams to integrate security into every aspect of Ant International’s technology landscape.
Key Responsibilities :
- Security Architecture Leadership : Lead the development and implementation of security architectures across the Americas, ensuring alignment with global security strategies and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Secure System Design : Design and review secure IT systems, networks, and applications, ensuring they meet the highest standards of security and resilience.
- Cloud Security : Oversee the design and implementation of secure cloud architectures, particularly in AWS, Azure, and GCP environments.
Ensure cloud deployments adhere to best practices and regulatory standards.
Threat Modeling and Risk Assessment : Conduct threat modeling exercises and risk assessments to identify potential security risks.
Develop and implement mitigation strategies to address these risks.
Collaboration with Development Teams : Work closely with engineering and product teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Provide guidance on secure coding practices and security requirements.
Security Standards and Best Practices : Establish, maintain, and enforce security standards and best practices across the region.
Ensure that security controls are in place and functioning as intended.
Compliance and Regulatory Alignment : Ensure that all security architectures comply with relevant regulatory requirements, including GDPR, CCPA, PCI DSS, and SOC 2.
Support compliance efforts through audits and assessments.
Incident Response Support : Provide architectural guidance during security incidents, helping to identify root causes and recommend remediation strategies.

Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in security architecture, cybersecurity, or a related area.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing secure architectures for complex systems and applications.
- Strong understanding of security principles, frameworks, and standards, including Zero Trust, NIST, and ISO 27001.
- Hands-on experience with security technologies such as firewalls, encryption, identity and access management (IAM), and cloud security.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically about security challenges.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to articulate complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, SABSA, or equivalent.
- Experience with cloud security architecture, particularly in AWS, Azure, or GCP environments.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and tools.
- Knowledge of financial technology (fintech) regulations and secure payment architectures.
