Job Summary :
Our rapidly expanding team in Chicago, IL, seeks a Controls Project Manager with expertise in building automation and control systems.
This pivotal role encompasses the full project management lifecycle for our control system projects. The ideal candidate will possess deep industry knowledge, outstanding leadership abilities, and a track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to client satisfaction.
Responsibilities :
- Strategize and execute project plans, ensuring alignment with client goals and project specifications.
- Foster strong client relationships, accurately capturing project requirements and delivering beyond expectations.
- Lead and inspire project teams, promoting a culture of excellence and innovation.
- Diligently manage project finances from budget planning to cost control, optimizing resource allocation.
- Proactively identify project risks and challenges, devising and implementing effective mitigation strategies.
- Uphold strict adherence to industry standards, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance across all projects.
- Maintain dynamic communication with all project stakeholders, offering regular updates and solutions-oriented feedback.
- Rigorously document project processes, from initial planning to final handover, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Qualifications :
- Proven experience managing control systems or building automation projects, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, with a strong preference for professional certifications in project management.
- Deep knowledge of control system design, implementation, and optimization.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, capable of navigating complex project landscapes.
- Demonstrated financial acumen in budgeting and financial project management.
- Must be a resident of Chicago, IL, or willing to relocate, with a stable professional background and familiarity with the local market.
