This position provides technical and design services in support of electrical design projects to produce construction drawings and specifications for our clients.
Responsibilities include :
- Participating in the design effort on large and small projects.
- Coordination with engineering and other disciplines on the project team.
- Ability to provide calculations including lighting, voltage drop, and load calculations
- Follow company standards in creation of electrical drawings.
- Provide field support including field verifications for retrofit applications, as-built documentation, and Construction Administration.
- From project scope, develop electrical construction drawings (i.e. exterior lighting, interior lighting, power plans, systems plans, fire alarm system plans, grounding systems, details, single lines / riser diagrams and panel schedules).
Required Experience :
- High School diploma or Associates Degree with adequate drafting experience or a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology.
- Experience in Electrical Design including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, grounding, coordination / arc flash studies
- Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code, Building Codes, and Energy Codes.
- Experience in Federal / Municipal Government, Healthcare or Aviation preferred but not required.
- Must know REVIT, AutoCAD, and Visual Lighting design software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software.
