Overview Lutron is seeking an inquisitive and detail-oriented Quality Engineer out of our Ashland, Virginia manufacturing facility for our 2nd shift which operates Monday Friday, 2 PM 10 : 30 PM.

In this role, you will take ownership of high-stakes projects from day one, focused on our industry-leading window covering solutions.

With an increase in production, your support is needed to investigate issues and implement corrective actions needed to drive continuous improvement.

You will be a key part of our manufacturing team and grow your skills while applying industry best practices to our quality function.

Your contributions will help to maintain our market position as a world leader in automated shading solutions. By working in a collaborative environment, you will be exposed to, and trained by, industry experts who will aid in your professional development.

Responsibilities Conduct root cause analysis through the inspection of manufacturing defects, data analysis, design of experiments, and other techniques.

Conduct quality and continuous improvement projects and drive to closure. Report and analyze quality metrics. Provide leadership and guidance to the quality team through effective communication with coworkers, and business partners.

Run external and internal audits. Assist production and quality with improving difficult processes and repeated unit failures.

Assist with product development and improvements where needed. Complete quality related improvement projects for the Virginia facility, and across the entire Window Systems business Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline, Textile Design, Textile Technology, or Materials Science Minimum, cumulative GPA of 3.

0 Desired 3+ years of professional experience Experience in a manufacturing environment Proven knowledge of Microsoft Suite : Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

Proven knowledge of data entry and extraction from business systems such as : ERP, MES, or Quality Database Failure analysis experienced is preferred Experienced in quality and / or process engineering positions preferred Lutron Electronics’ position as the worldwide leader in innovative lighting control and shading solutions has enabled consistent, annual growth.
