BEVERAGE SERVER

Summary : Takes, retrieves and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages courteously and efficiently according to job specification.

Answers guest questions and provides outstanding guest service.

Essential Functions :

• Inspect cleanliness and condition of assigned station and service areas; rectify any deficiencies.
• Greet guests and take their orders. Anticipate guest’s needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Maintain complete knowledge of all liquor brands, beers and non alcoholic selections available.
• Maintain complete knowledge of and strictly abide by the state liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minor and intoxicated persons.
• Be familiar with all hotel services / features and provide information to guests, as needed
• Answers guest questions, as needed
• Legibly document orders when POS is down and distribute orders to respective Bartender for preparation of order.
• Retrieve orders from Bar area and serve promptly to guests
• Replace ashtrays within the Pit with 4 butts with clean ashtray by using capping method.
• Follow all Clark County Health Codes.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements :

Qualifications / Requirements :

• Previous experience as a beverage server
• One year experience as a beverage server in a bar, lounge, or hotel / casino environment preferred
• Compute quickly and accurately basic mathematical calculations (add, subtract, multiply and divide numbers)
• Ability to use computers and calculators
• Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• At least 21 years of age

• Walk, stand or stoop up to 100% of time.
• Walk, stand, and / or crouch on narrow and / or slippery surfaces.

• Working inside in a noisy, smoky, and hot or cold environment
• Literacy, speech, vision, and hearing (critical)
