Licensed Practical Nurse - Primary Care
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for providing direct nursing care to patients under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN) or other medical provider in a primary care clinic.
The LPN will assist in implementing nursing plans of care and reporting patient responses to the care provided. Accuracy and completeness of patient care documentation is also a key responsibility.
- Provide direct nursing care to patients under the supervision of a registered nurse, midlevel provider, or physician within the LPN scope of practice.
- Report patient response to care to registered nurse or other provider for evaluation, intervention, and modification of the plan of care.
- Ensure accurate and complete documentation of care.
