SENIOR SYSTEMS ENGINEER

UT Government is searching for a SENIOR SYSTEMS ENGINEER, located in our Herndon, VA headquarters.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Government Physical Security Engineer to join our Federal Government team.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, implementing, and managing physical security systems, FICAM / HSPD-12, digital video, and other support technologies.

This role requires proficiency in key security systems and platforms such as Lenel, Software House, Gallagher Security, Milestone Video, and Genetec, as well as expertise in networking and cloud migration and Azure environments.

Responsibilities :

1. System Design and Implementation :

• Design and implement physical security systems, including access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection.
• Knowledge of HSPD-12, PKI and implementing PIV credential in high assurance PACS.
• Configure and deploy solutions using Lenel, Software House, Gallagher Security, Milestone Video, and Genetec systems.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop security solutions that meet organizational needs and comply with industry standards.

2. Cloud Migration and Management :

• Manage the migration of physical security systems to cloud-based platforms, focusing on Azure cloud environments.
• Ensure the successful integration of cloud-based security solutions with existing systems and infrastructure.
• Optimize cloud security configurations to enhance performance and reliability.

3. System Integration and Support :

• Integrate physical security systems with other IT and security systems within the organization.
• Provide ongoing support and maintenance for security systems, including troubleshooting and resolving issues.
• Monitor and analyze system performance to ensure continuous operation and effectiveness.

4. Documentation and Compliance :

• Develop and maintain detailed documentation for security systems, configurations, and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices in physical security.

5. Training and Collaboration :

• o Provide training and guidance to team members and end-users on security systems and best practices.
• o Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance security measures and address emerging threats.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Security Systems, or a related work experience
• Proven experience with physical security systems, including Lenel, Software House, Gallagher Security, Milestone Video, and Genetec.
• Strong knowledge of cloud migration processes and experience with Azure preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in system integration, troubleshooting, and support.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Preferred Skills :

• Factory certified Software House, Lenel, Gallagher or Genetec
• Certified Smartcard Engineer ICAM PACS (CSEIP)
• Certifications related to physical security systems or cloud technologies (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Physical Security Professional, CISSP).
• Experience with additional security technologies or platforms.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to physical security.
• Aiphone IXG Series Certification
• Bosch Video Management System Expert with Appliance Storage Certification
• Bosch Video Management System Master Certification
• Bosch G Series / B Series Expert Training
• Cisco CCNA and / or CCNP (Any concentration)
• Hirsch-Identiv Velocity Certification
