Overview :
Thisposition entails the installation service troubleshooting andrepair of complex electronic and electromechanical equipment siteservice and field process applications and qualifications.
Inaddition the position is accountable for being able to operate asan independent product expert on select EVG product lines.
Capableof implementing detailed complex customer installation plans forreliability process qualification and signoff. Training customerpersonnel on advanced equipment operation maintenance proceduresand processrelated operations.
Provides onsite technical supportfor developing and implementing equipment and process applications.Trains customers and other Field Service Engineers on specificproductlines.
Requirements :
- AssociatesDegree or Bachelors Degree in a related engineering field or 4years of experience installing / repairing semiconductor / electronicproduction equipment or any of thecombined.
- Advanced electromechanicaltroubleshooting skills.
- Experience diagnosessources of hardware or process problems on equipment facilities orwafers.
- Handson skills and knowledge inmechanics and electronics
- Ability to use handtools and meters and read / interpret electrical and mechanicaldrawings and schematics.
- Previous semiconductorexperience is preferred.
- Knowledge ofstatistical process control & quality improvement processmethods and terminology.
- Provenability to maintain and perform repairs on company demo cleanroomequipment.
- Must have a validstateissued drivers license and have acceptable driving privileges.
KeyResponsibilities :
- Assistscustomers and other personnel in identifying and repairingequipmentrelated processproblems.
- Performs onsitepreventative maintenance cleans equipment as required and verifiesthe operational quality of equipment.
- Performsstartup warranty paid service and service contract activities.Performs hardware setup on specified systems within establishedtime frames.
- Ability to utilize training skillsto troubleshoot tools to resolve issues and minimize downtime.
- Keeps equipment running properly andefficiently to enhance customersatisfaction.
- Recommends appropriateaction and maintains ongoing awareness of existing and potentialsituations;
- Handles equipment and customersituations while informing Management of developments on a timelybasis.
- Prepares and conducts local customermeetings and communicates orally with customers in facetofaceoneonone settings and group settings and communicatesprofessionally by email and telephone asneeded.
- Initiates purchase orders for parts andservices.
- Maintains and performsrepairs on company demo cleanroomequipment.
- Keeps informed and trained on thecompanys most current systems methods and procedures including sitesafety.
- Ability to wear proper cleanroom attireand work inside the fab / cleanroom up to 75% of thetime.
