POSITION SUMMARY :
The Project Engineer is responsible for the liaison between project managers, superintendents, site engineers, and clients on construction projects, providing technical and administrative information to all parties involved in the project. This position must demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills, as well as have effective communication and client service skills.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Safety

- Partners with the Cantera Safety Coordinator to ensure a safe workplace
Operational
Be familiar with and follow the Cantera Concrete Staff Organization document for managing projectsReport project hours and quantities on a timely basisMaintain working relationships with internal and external clients, including representatives of Owner and Architect / EngineerUsing computer software to plan and design projectsResearch best practices within and outside the organization to establish benchmark data and use continuous process improvement disciplines to achieve resultsAdept at conducting research into project-related issues and productsMonitor costs, including labor time and materialReview Daily Work ReportsAttend and participate in project meetingsSummarize weekly and monthly reportsDeveloping construction project budgetsReviews and understands the construction document drawingsCreate and maintain submittal and correspondence logsPrepared / processed budgets, change orders, submittals, RFI’s, RFC’s and field memosVerify payroll against daily schedule for field personnel for accuracy of hours and pay classesOther duties as assignedKNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES :
Construction Industry Knowledge
