Overview
The Developer's role is to develop and enhance in-house software applications or extensions by coding with a technical language to meet business requirements and business objectives.
This can include taking technical specifications and developing an application or integration of data between applications, testing, as well as completing the appropriate technical documentation.
The developer may also be responsible for delivering support to end users in the organization for specific code, including troubleshooting code.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or a combination of work experience and education.
- Knowledge in application and software development.
- Knowledge of software design and programming principles.
- Proficient oral and written communication skills, ability to influence outcomes, and strong attention to detail.
- Strong analytical, mathematic, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong team player with ability to demonstrate Agile delivery values working both within a team and independently.
- Strategic thinker - can develop a plan to meet a long-term objective.
- Experience with Java, .NET, C# or related development technologies.
Nice to Have
- Experience with UiPath and Document Understanding.
- Process modeling and process mining experience.
Primary Responsibilities
- Design, develop, implement, and support software applications.
- Partner with Infrastructure Team in areas of cross-use resources.
- Application development and maintenance across SGWS.
- DevOps - standardize application development tools, standard process / practice, enterprise architecture, continuous deployment, and application monitoring capabilities.
- Drive technical validity of solution.
- Monitor the IT ticketing system to ensure timely correction of any incidents.
- Develop user documentation as well as in-code documentation to explain designs and participate / support user training.
- Obtain any certifications needed to effectively support applications in scope.
- Support the development of business and technical process documentation and training materials.
- Structure requirements to facilitate automation of acceptance tests.
- Provide support for software applications under area of responsibility.
- Participate in Agile teams.
- Drive Behavior-Driven-Design (BDD) process.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

- Physical demands include a considerable amount of time sitting and typing / keyboarding, using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor).
- Physical demands with activity or condition may include walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting, and stooping.
- May require occasional lifting / lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 20lbs.
