Remedy is thrilled to be working with a local Plastics Company with an urgent need for a Manufacturing Engineer in Syracuse, NY.
The Plastics Manufacturing Engineer (ME) will demonstrate an understanding towards the plan, development, and implementation of tools into molding, assembly, finishing, quality, all processes, and related engineering activities in the support of production for manufacturing.
ME's will apply appropriate process control and statistical techniques to daily work as needed to ensure optimum product quality and productivity.
ME's will plan, design, implement corrective actions, or identify root cause on various production processes to ensure products can be manufactured with in specs.
ME's often working directly with SR Project Engineers, Quality Engineers, Manufacturing Management and / or Technicians.
ME's typical assignments can include BOM creations, evaluations and PCN corrections etc. Other assignments may include efforts in minimizing cost, improving product quality, and maintaining product outputs.

Essential job duties for this role will include :
- Responsible for assuring that all MRP / ERP planning, materials, sampling(s), secondaries and outputted products are supplied are on time and meet all customer requirements, from start thru full production approvals.
- Demonstrates successful skills in the planning, implementation of new molding development activities (molds / molding processes) as well as changes to existing molding / manufacturing processes, while utilize OMP's Engineering Department procedures and documents.
- Attends project and production meetings, providing updates, status on projects and customer feedback.
- Initiates, champions and / or participates in new product launch or early DFM teams.
- Maintain documentation on all program activities.
- Completes Engineering Change Request documents for changes that impact tooling and / or product pricing.
- Addresses internal and external customer complaints, conducts investigations, develops root cause analysis, and documents, all while showing expansion of knowledge base & problem-solving techniques.
- Coordinates and attends mold trials, including interface with Tool Engineering.
- Demonstrates knowledge of standardized ERP / MRP documentation, bill of materials and routings.
- Demonstrates knowledge of inspection and quality engineering / assurance techniques.
- Demonstrates capability of handling multiple projects within a team environment.

We're looking for a Manufacturing Engineer with the following background profile / skillset :
- Possession of a High School Diploma or GED is required.
- BS Mechanical or Plastics Engineering or AAS degree and transferable related employment experience.
- ME -I5 years of experience in engineering fields with a combination of molding, manufacturing, assembly, finishing, quality control or production process development.
- Equivalent education and / or experience will be considered.
- Knowledge in project management, manufacturing process development, improvement, and quality systems.
- Possesses good problem solving and reasoning skills.
- Demonstrates experience in blueprint reading.
- Demonstrates problem solving, negotiation, GD&T, SPC, drawing and contract review experience.
- Demonstrates experience with the usage of the MRP / ERP systems and common MS software i.e., Office, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel skills.
- Ability to interpret process sheets, work orders, inspection instructions, part, and component drawings.
- Good oral and written communication via basic common MS software like (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
- Ability to use the QMS MRP / ERP systems,
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with counterparties, team members and other coworkers.
- Develops and utilizes skills necessary to serve and participate in a team environment.
