Responsibilities
PeopleTec is currently seeking a Linux System Administrator to support our Huntsville, AL location.
The systems administrator candidate will be a member of a development team, supporting the team's IT needs. The ideal candidate will have proven skills in developing, deploying, and maintaining Linux images, strategy, and excellent documentation skills.
Duties :
- Establish and maintain a Linux baseline image to be deployed to both workstations and servers.
- Establish and maintain methods to deploy configuration and policy updates to deployed images
- Coordination with ISSO to apply STIGs
- Setting up administrator, service, and user accounts.
- Maintain system documentation.
- Maintenance of program specific configurations.
- Assist with procuring server hardware for the development team.
Qualifications
Required Skills / Experience :
- Experience with multifactor authentication deployment.
- Proficient administrating RHEL8 workstations.
- Experience supporting multiplatform solutions in a security conscious environment.
- Experience integrating Linux clients with Windows Active Directory / Azure Active Directory.
- Good verbal and written communication skills and must be able to work independently.
- Travel : 5-10 %
- Must be a . Citizen
- An active DoD Secret clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Secret clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.
Education Requirements :
- BS in a technical field
- 3+ years of experience
