HUMAN RESOURCES BENEFITS COUNSELOR-(T217246)
Description
Position Summary :
This position educates employees and departments on benefits programs and policies.Responds to all questions, problems and conflicts involving all benefits programs.
Addresses simple and complex benefit issues.Meets individually with employees for service retirement, disability, death claims and general benefits.
Acts as a liaison between UAB departments and TRS as needed to coordinate retirement program guidelines.Assists with ensuring data integrity between UAB and vendors.
Consults management concerning special issues.
Salary Range : $47,665 - $51,000
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field and one (1) year of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
Preferred :
- Thorough understanding of health care benefits, retirement, and knowledge of relevant regulations and legislation.
