Summary :

This role is expected to : Accountable for all facets of the GSPP Venture activity for Expense; Responsible for the completion and review of the Endowment / Gift Process.
Financial Support and reconciliation for sleep lab areas. Monitor results and provide recommendations of areas of concern.
- Work closely with Accounting Manager in maintaining day-to-day operations of the Accounting Department; Work well with operational management with timely communications and provide a customer service orientation of financial services to all constituencies;
- Identify and recommend functions for automation as appropriate; Provide timely and accurate service to the Controller, Administration, CFO, and other customers during the monthly close and budget process;
- Promote team playing within work group; Manage and complete special projects as assigned from managers and controller in a timely and accurate fashion;
- Prepare ad-hoc analyses and variance explanations as assigned and in support of the month end close process; Support of Annual Operating Budget Process as assigned;
- Maintains necessary schedules and documentation for monthly closings, quarterly reviews, and annual audit; Reviews financial data for accuracy, reasonableness, and completeness;
- Applies GAAP and HUP Financial Reporting Standards without exception; Provides assistance as necessary with special projects, operating budget, and financial audit;
Provides financial support to Controller and Department Directors as required.
Responsibilities :
Manage all facets of the accounting for the GSPP Joint Venture related to Expense, including support and reconciliation of the GSPP Venture Activity.
This includes Expenses. Lead person to resolve and manage all information / analysis necessary for the GSPP Venture.
Prepare all financial support within the Sleep Lab Venture. Drive overall accountability for this area and escalate all areas of concern.
Provide special project support to the annual Operating Budget Process as assigned and business support to the Operations Leadership team.
Prepare Monthly and AR Valuation for Helicopters. Manage and reconcile GH Fees. Complete variance analysis for the Pennstar department.
Review, reconciliation and analysis of Endowments and Gifts.
Review, reconciliation and analysis of Benefits on a monthly basis.
Review, reconciliation and analysis of All Venture Departments.
Various monthly Journal Entries and monthly / quarterly reports
Prepare accurate monthly financial analyses for select key ancillary areas.
Complete monthly account reconciliation for assigned departments and areas.
Train and support Hospital Department Directors in interpretation of monthly results and make recommendations for cost savings or process improvement
Assist in preparation and submission of monthly and quarterly financial summary data presentations
Assist in preparation for as well as participate in monthly financial reviews with Senior Leadership
Assist with quarterly and year-end financial audits as needed
Assist in preparation and submission of monthly and quarterly financial summary data presentations as needed.
Direct contact for HUP departments as they prepare their annual budgets Assists in annual operating budget process as needed
- Education or Equivalent Experience :
- Bachelor of Arts or Science (Required)
- Education Specialization : Accounting and / or Finance Equivalent Experience with 3-5 years General Accounting experience or related field
- Certified Public Accountant preferred.
