Overview
Element has an opportunity for a Materials Test Technician (2nd shift) to join our growing team. In this role, you will c onduct a wide range of mechanical testing of ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
Provide technical assistance to customers and co-workers, with focus on quality, standardization, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
Perform mechanical testing and speciman conditioning (HT) in accordance with company goals, quality system, and test procedures / methods
- Use calibrated hand tools such as micrometer, caliper, compass, and ruler to take measurements and record them into the test records
- Provide technical support for quotation and pricing
- Review Mechanical test results for accuracy, completeness, and consistency to specification requirements
Skills / Qualifications
- Associates degree in the Mechanical or similar field preferred
- Experience in Materials testing, interpreting testing procedures and customer requirements is a plus
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference
