We are seeking an experienced front-end Senior Software Engineer to join our innovative team at Opendoor. In this role, you will provide technical leadership in project execution, code quality, architectural discussions, and team culture.

You will lead in your domain area, with your influence extending across the team and gradually impacting the wider business.

What You'll Do :

  • Domain Expertise : Regularly apply in-depth knowledge of the business domain to enhance your work and the work of others.
  • Design and Architecture : Lead design discussions and drive architectural decisions, ensuring alignment with best practices and company standards.
  • Issue Resolution : Conduct and lead time-critical resolutions of production issues and navigate the team through project pivots.
  • Complex Problem-Solving : Solve complex technical challenges independently and drive some cross-team initiatives.
  • Mentorship : Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers within the team.
  • Stakeholder Engagement : Take a leadership role with stakeholders, translating business goals into technical solutions, facilitating discussions, and identifying gaps.

Compensation :

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets.

Base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.

The U.S. pay range for this position is $170,000-$213,000 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on your qualifications, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process. We also offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, 12 paid holidays per year, medical / dental / vision insurance, basic life insurance, and 401(k) to eligible employees.
