Position
The IT department has an immediate opening for a highly experienced Java developer to join our team as a Senior Applications Architect .
This is a full-time, exempt position based out of WCF's Sandy, Utah headquarters. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java development, a passion for technology, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions.
K ey Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Java applications
- Architect clear solutions from complex requirements and specifications
- Ensure the quality, accuracy, and performance of applications
- Identify and correct bugs and performance bottlenecks
- Promote code quality, organization, and automation
- Mentor and coach junior developers
Qualifications
The most qualified candidate will have :
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
- 5+ years of professional Java development experience
- Expert level knowledge in Spring Core, Spring Boot, and Java 17
- Experience with both imperative and functional programming
- Proficient in software design patterns and architecture
- Strong understanding of SQL and database architecture
- Superb written and oral communication skills
- Excellent customer-service skills for both internal and external customers
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Enterprise Integration Patterns
- Experience with RabbitMQ
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Bamboo)
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
An internal candidate should have six months in his / her current position. Candidates should have acceptable job performance and a good attendance record in their current position and must notify their current supervisor that they've applied for the position.
