Part time position with potential to move to full time for the right candidate. Pay is based on experience and skill level.
Performs skilled maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and other physical structures. Maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs facilities mechanical components and electrical systems in accordance with SOPs (standard operating procedures), internal requirements, manufacturer's specifications, and safety policies.
Facility Maintenance Technician develops, maintains, and secures a spare parts inventory of basic maintenance supplies, hand, and power tools.
Recommends purchase of maintenance tools, equipment and supplies as required based on budget expectations set monthly with Ownership.
Additionally, FMT assists Directors in developing methods and procedures to improve facility efficiency and workflow. FMT must possess ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness, and work with a minimum of supervision.
Requirements :
- At least 2 years' experience in basic building maintenance
- Should have understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and general building maintenance
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
- Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness, and work with a minimum of supervision
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy to defuse frustration
- In the event that outside contractor is needed for repairs, FMT will setup, follow through, and ensure that repairs are made on-time and accurately
- Punctuality and regular and reliable attendance
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs., push 150+ lbs., carry 50+ lbs.
