Summary Description

The Associate Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations is a full-time position responsible for managing a portfolio of institutional donors and prospects.

This involves identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding foundations, government agencies, and corporations to support Colorado College’s priorities.

This position collaborates closely with college leadership, faculty, and staff to understand institutional needs, develop strategies, prepare proposals and materials, and report on funded projects.

This position reports to the Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations in the Advancement division.

Work location Hybrid : This position primarily operates on campus with the opportunity for intermittent remote work Pay Band 7 Anticipated Salary Range $58,392 to $78,829 per year Pay Information The pay range reflects base pay for positions in a given pay band across the college.

Individual rates are determined within the range by factors including one’s qualifications, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same band and department budget.

  • Work closely with college leadership, faculty, and staff to understand institutional priorities, identify complementary funding opportunities, cultivate relationships, and prepare requests for external funding from corporate, private, and government sources.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations in designing and implementing strategies to ensure proper cultivation and solicitation of foundation and corporate prospects for college priorities.
  • Develop, edit, finalize, and present proposals, correspondence, strategy statements, and briefing materials for meetings and solicitations.
  • Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward a portfolio of foundation and corporate prospects through targeted outreach, personal and virtual visits, campus activities, grant reporting, and all other aspects of the proposal process.
  • Work closely with staff and faculty project managers to develop content for, and submit, comprehensive and timely grant reports.

Does this position require driving CC vehicles / being insurable under CC's insurance plan? Yes Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of four years of fundraising experience to include at least two years of direct experience in Corporate and Foundation relations or equivalent experience as a faculty member or administrator in a relevant program or department.
  • Experience working collaboratively to plan, draft, and finalize compelling proposals for support of major projects or programs;

demonstrated success in securing major grants from foundations or other institutions.

  • Excellent oral, listening, and written communication skills; the ability to address, engage, and motivate both large audiences and small groups.
  • Proactive and self-motivated to take initiative and work independently.
  • Extraordinary attention to detail and familiarization with program budgets.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, web-based research tools, and constituent databases.
  • Ability to travel occasionally and availability for occasional weekend and evening work.

Preferred Qualifications : Advanced degree; experience in corporate, foundation, or government relations at a liberal arts college, experience in an Arts organization.
