Job Details
Responsibilities :
As a Senior Property Accountant, your responsibilities will include :
1. Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, including month and year-end processes, accounts payable / receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll, and utilities.
2. Coordinating and completing annual audits, providing recommendations for improving procedures and systems for initiating corrective actions.
3. Ensuring all financial reporting deadlines are met, preparing financial management reports, and submitting them to relevant departments.
4. Conducting detailed balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported.
5. Streamlining and improving financial systems and processes.
6. Working closely with property management to provide accurate financial information, including the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
7. Reviewing and analyzing property and portfolio level operating results and variance analysis.
Qualifications :
To be considered for the role of Senior Property Accountant, you must have :
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in property accounting or a related field.
2. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA designation is preferred.
3. MUST HAVE CAM Reconciliation experience
4. Profound knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, including a strong understanding of full-cycle accounting.
5. Experience with Yardi and MRI commercial property accounting software.
6. Sound knowledge of commercial real estate and property management.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with both finance and non-finance professionals.
9. The ability to work independently, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.
10. A strong work ethic, with the ability to maintain the highest level of integrity and professionalism.
