As an Infrastructure Engineer within PNC's Oracle Engineering organization, you will be based in Phoenix, AZ, Pittsburgh, PA, Cleveland, OH, Dallas, TX or Birmingham, AL.

The position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis.

Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at the manager's discretion.

An Infrastructure Engineer, you will be joining the Oracle Engineering team. In this role, your primary responsibility will be to act as a subject matter expert, where you will field escalations from other database support teams on critical issues that they may not be able to resolve.

Additionally, you will also serve as the expert point person for project work.

Due to the nature of this position, we are seeking candidates who have extensive experience with Oracle database migrations and upgrades, Oracle DataGuard, RMAN, Recovery Appliance administration, Golden Gate, EUS, TDE, OEM and RHP.

Candidates with extensive OEM administrative as well as engineering experience (OEM / OMS upgrade, patching and migration) is a plus.

Job Description

  • Applies solution design and support while consistently meeting customer needs. Leverages technical knowledge and industry experience to design, build and maintain infrastructure technology solutions.
  • Develops software components and hardware for projects; aligns these with business strategies and objectives.
  • Independently solves common problems and updates applications with new technology.
  • Collaborates with engineers, architects, developers and other staff to meet project objectives.
  • Analyzes the technological needs of customers and provides ongoing support for clients.
