Description
Our Lady of Victory is seeking an experienced, innovative and enthusiastic Junior High (Religion & Social Studies) teacher.
Candidates must be dedicated, experienced and enthusiastic about the content they are teaching. The ideal candidate must have knowledge creating lessons that align with Common Core State and Archdiocesan Standards, and who can integrate technology into the classroom.
This teacher must work collaboratively and communicate effectively with parents, teachers, staff and administration for the academic betterment of the students.
It is imperative that this candidate have a positive mindset, is a good Catholic role model and is highly energetic.
We seek a teacher who :
- Has experience in the junior high classroom setting.
- Has an understanding of educating students with diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds.
- Is energetic, creative, and faith-filled.
- Is knowledgeable about best practices in education.
- Has a strong ability to differentiate instruction
- Is a team player and demonstrates successful collaboration with teachers / staff and parents.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree (BA / BS) from an accredited university / college in the area of Elementary Education
- A California Multiple Subjects Teaching and / or Master’s Degree or working toward a CA Credential
- Comfort and familiarity with the integration of technology into the classroom.
- Create developmentally appropriate lesson plans
- Ability to input and analyze student data to meet student needs
- Two or more years of teaching experience
- A practicing Catholic and knowledge of the teachings of the Catholic Church

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range.
We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
