We seek a talented and experienced MainFrame System Analyst to join the team. Who is Responsible for Application Lifecycle Management for the various Mainframe applications that utilize the ADABAS Natural platform.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Meeting directly with end users to understand business requirements and provide any required systems support.
- Work with the Get Off the Mainframe team and assist them with any tasks on Client's behalf.
- Handle any short-term maintenance and / or bug-fix requirements.
- Mentor Client personnel and provide technical assistance as needed. Coordinates project tasks between IT managers, Technical Services, Rail Operations, and other departments.
- Analysis and documentation of the current system in support of the ongoing Get Off the Mainframe initiative.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED :
- Bachelors level degree and seven or more years of progressive supervisory experience in implementing large scale information technology projects.
- Project planning experience for enterprise-wide applications and experience in multi-platform application environments is required.
- Experience with Transportation Systems such as applications for Bus / Fleet / Rail maintenance, asset management, Rail crew management, train dispatching (and more) is a plus and with strong analytical problem-solving skills.
- Hands-on technical experience with ADABAS / Natural and documentation with formal proposals for improvement are necessary for success.
- Any awareness, knowledge and skills in C#.NET and PowerShell scripting are nice-to-have's.
