Job Duties Under the direction/supervision of the DON, the Staff Development Coordinator assists in formulating departmental policies and procedures Responsible for the implementation of new employee orientation and clinical competency Designs, organizes, and implements educational offers to increase competence in specific areas of practice Perform all functions of a Registered Nurse (RN) within the scope of practice, including delivering nursing care Qualifications Two years of clinical experience in a long-term care setting with at least one year as an educator preferred Valid and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in California or in an eligible Nurse Compact State Experience in gerontology preferred Training and/or experience in adult learning preferred Serve as a leader and a trusted resource to other healthcare team members Strong computer literacy and competency skills Up-to-date clinical compliance Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR via American Heart Association (AHA) Two-step TB test Physical exam within the last 12 months Benefits Weekly
