MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN III

Job Title : Maintenance Technician III (Talking Stick Resort)

Department : Maintenance

Reports To : Maintenance Shift Supervisor

Summary

Performs general maintenance duties, as assigned and / or depending on experience / competence, under guidance of preventive maintenance and work orders.

Occasionally, oversees and mentors the activities of a Maintenance Laborer.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Reads and interprets blueprints and schematics.
• Documents and keeps records of assigned maintenance functions.Adheres to all company safety policies, procedures and responsibilities concerning accident prevention including reporting any safety concerns to a supervisor immediately.

General maintenance :

• Performs maintenance and repairs on major system breakdowns, diagnosing problem(s).
• Performs preventive maintenance to keep locks and locking devices in functional and safe operating condition.
• Installs and / or repairs carpet and vinyl flooring.

Electrical :

• Repairs, replaces and performs preventive maintenance on all motors, panels and electrical equipment.
• Replaces burned out light bulbs, checks electrical circuits, repairs dimmers, refrigeration controls and contacts.

Carpentry / Drywall / Painting :

• Responsible for all preparation necessary to ensure proper application of paints, varnishes, sealers and rust-proofing.
• Repairs furniture, doors, windows, slot machine stands, gambling tables and millwork.
• Fabricates office partitions, doors, counters, panel walls, and ceilings.

Plumbing :

Installs, connects, and tests sanitary plumbing fixtures, fire sprinklers, hydraulics, refrigeration, various gas, steam and other pressure systems.

HVAC :

• Handles regular preventive maintenance of all HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
• Operates Energy Management systems.
• Ensures safe, efficient operation of all equipment relevant to boilers, chillers, pumps, life safety equipment, air handlers and emergency generators.

Kitchen Equipment :

Responsible for the repair and maintenance of all industrial kitchen equipment.

Education and / or Experience

ALL TECHNICIANS : Must possess a High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Must have a valid Arizona Drivers license and must meet MVR requirements to be authorized to operate a company vehicle.

TECHNICIAN III : Journeyman in 1 or more trades with 5 or more years work experience required; and / or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificate or vocational education diploma required.

• ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR TECH III / HVAC TECHNICIAN : EPA Universal Tech certification; certificate or license as a refrigeration technician;
• five (5) years experience in low temp repair and maintenance; five (5) years field experience in ice machine repair and maintenance;

five (5) years experience in electrical control troubleshooting and repair; general working knowledge of chiller / cooling tower AC systems.

Other Qualifications

Must be able to work harmoniously with co-workers and develop teamwork. Must present a well-groomed appearance.

Language Skills

Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
