General Description / Primary Purpose This is an entry level ranked faculty position within the Nurse Anesthesia program.
- Provide academic didactic and simulation instruction to doctoral students in nurse anesthesia Essential Duties Job Function - Provide academic didactic and simulation instruction to doctoral students in nurse anesthesia
- Mentor students and serve as an effective professional role model
- Participate in NAP faculty meetings
- Participate in project work- Maintain an active CRNA practice Percentage Of Time 100 Posting Detail Information Marginal Functions Attend School of Nursing and Brooks College of Health meetings when possible
Required Qualifications Faculty Position Required Qualifications - Graduate of a Council on Accreditation (COA) accredited program in nurse anesthesia
- Currently credentialed as an APRN (Nurse Anesthetist) by the Florida Board of Nursing
- Currently certified / recertified as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) by the National Board of Certification & Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA)
- A doctorate in nursing degree
- Five years of experience as a CRNA
- Experience teaching research, pediatrics, and obstetrics Departmental Requirements N / A Statement(s) of Understanding Definition Background Check : This position requires a level II background check, which includes fingerprinting.
In conjunction with the University’s policy, this position may also require a credit check.
Responsible Employee : The holder of this position is designated as a Responsible Employee pursuant to their role under Title IX.
