Job Summary

THIS POSITION IS ONLY FOR CURRENTLY ENROLLED CLAYTON STATE UNIVERSITY STUDENTS WHO QUALIFY FOR FEDERAL WORK STUDY!

This position is responsible for campus tours, tracking recruitment supplies and inventory, and assisting with on-campus recruitment events.

Provide excellent customer service to all guests by being professional, courteous and friendly. Customer service includes but is not limited to greeting and acknowledging each guest, keeping a positive attitude, knowledge of the CSU campus and programs, knowledge of admissions requirements.

Exhibit a commitment to the mission and vision of serving the student population and all visitors to the Office of Recruitment & Admissions Welcome Center.

Always professionally represent Clayton State University by wearing proper attire, being well-groomed and well spoken

Must demonstrate great interpersonal, exceptional organizational and excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic.

Interact professionally with students, colleagues, administrators, and visitors to Clayton State's Office of Recruitment & Admissions office.

Conduct walking campus tours.

Valid Driver's License required to conduct Golf Cart Tours

Answer Inbound calls, transfer appropriately, and make outbound calls to prospective campus visitors.

Answer questions and provide appropriate literature and refer, escort, and / or guide guests to the appropriate locations.

Maintain office lobby area.

Assist Recruiters with events, packing, yard sign placement, inventory, setup / breakdown.

General administrative duties : data entry, booking or researching room reservations, typing and editing correspondence and publications, filing, mail handling, sorting, and stocking.

Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word Suite. Social Media knowledge is a plus

Be a responsible team member; express opinions for improvement as appropriate and follow through with assigned tasks.

Work professionally and cohesively, as part of a team and on individual projects.

May include moving materials (approximately 25 lbs. or less)

Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be a current Clayton State University Student
  • Must be Federal Work Study eligible.
  • Must have and maintain a 2.5 GPA minimum.
  • Must remain in good academic and judicial standing with the university during tenure in the position, not violate the Student Code of Conduct, and conduct oneself in an appropriate manner as is reflected by the Student Code of Conduct both in person and electronically via the Internet (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, etc.)
  • Must have 12-19.5 hours available for the work schedule.
  • One-year related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to take direction and be flexible.
  • Experience with data entry
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize work assignments and time management skills a must.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail, ability to multitask.
  • Display honesty and integrity
