Rehabilitation Aide - Rehab Specialty

Description

Under the supervision of the Program Manager and the therapy personnel in the building, the PT / OT Aide II / Life Skills Trainer is trained to supervise clients in assigned treatment and functional activities, providing assistance and direction as needed.

These activities include assisting clients with personal care, modeling, and reinforcing appropriate social behavior, assisting in documentation and providing service in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Pathology, under direct supervision and guidance.

The PT / OT Aide II / Life Skills Trainer follows an individualized performance development plan to maintain current knowledge and be competent in critical areas, support program goals, Medical Center goals and objectives, functions and philosophy.

Required qualifications :

National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire

Preferred qualifications :

Coursework / Training : Education in therapy areas or patient care or equivalent education / experience
